The Library’s Quartet in Residence, the Fiato String Quartet, kicks off the 2015 Season of the popular free Concert Series @ Westwood Library THIS SUNDAY, May 3, at 2:30 p.m.

 

LAST MINUTE CHANGE! LA Chamber Orchestra violinist Joel Pargman will substitute for Ina Veli, second violin, who cannot make this concert. The program has been revised—Fiato will perform the Haydn “Emperor Quartet” as previously planned, plus a selection of violin duets, as follows:

 

Joseph Haydn – Quartet No. 62 in C major, Op. 76, no. 3 (the “Emperor Quartet”)

Jean-Marie LeClair – Sonata No. 1 for Two Violins

Miklos Rozsa – Sonata for Two Violins, Op. 15

George & Ira Gershwin (arr. Joel Pargman) – “Let’s Call the Whole Thing Off”

Jerome Kern & Oscar Hammerstein II (arr. Joel Pargman) – “All the Things You Are”
