The Three Yoder Brothers
For the 20th Anniversary Celebration of the Westwood Library, the Friends of Westwood Library and Los Angeles Musical Salon are thrilled to present a Triple Treat: three talented pianists in one family — the Yoder Brothers. Brothers Łucasz, Kasper and Dominik Yoder of UCLA’s Herb Alpert School of Music will dazzle you with a breathtaking program of Chopin, Liszt, Mozart, Brahms, Rachmaninoff, Prokofiev, Rossini, and more – including solo, 4-hand, and even a unique 6-hand collaboration arranged by Dominik just for this 20th Anniversary Concert.
Additionally, to celebrate the Westwood Library’s 20th Anniversary, the Friends will debut their newly acquired Yamaha C3 professional series Baby Grand Piano, a magnificent gift to the Westwood Branch Library and the Los Angeles Public Library System. The brilliantly talented Three Yoder Brothers will have the honor of being the first pianists to play on this stunning instrument in its first public performance at the Westwood Branch Library on Saturday, May 10, 2025.
This 20th Anniversary Concert will take place upstairs in the Library Reading Room. The concert will last approximately 90 minutes with no intermission. Admission is free, with free parking at the library. Because of the many special events taking place as part of the Library’s 20th Anniversary Celebration, we expect that parking in the library garage will be very limited. We have arranged for overflow parking next door to the library at a special $3 all-day parking rate, from 10 AM-6 PM, at the 10866 Wilshire Garage. The entrance to this parking garage is on Glendon Avenue, immediately north of the Library.
2025 Season Schedule
Our highly popular free Concert Series @ Westwood Library is proudly presented by the Friends of Westwood Library and the Los Angeles Musical Salon. Free concerts generally takes place on the Second Saturday of every month. Concerts are held upstairs in the Library Reading Room in the alcove by the balcony. The free concerts begin at 3:00 p.m. and the programs last approximately 90 minutes with no intermission.
On special occasions, our free concerts may be held on Sunday afternoons, also upstairs in the Library Reading Room, when the library is not open for regular business. Our Sunday concerts begin at 2:30 p.m., and the library garage and doors open at 2:00 p.m. Sunday concerts also last approximately 90 minutes with no intermission.
Following each musical performance, we host an audience Q&A where you are invited to ask a question of the musicians about their music, instruments, the composers they feature, or their musical selections. This is a wonderful way to learn more about music and musicians in general, in an informal and accessible way.
